How to efficiently recycle silicon slag
Sep 18, 2024Silicon slag is a byproduct produced in a specific industrial process, mainly derived from mineral desiliconization operations, such as alkali fusion, acid leaching, and water dissolution of zircon sand. Silicon slag is a colloidal polymer with a high water content. It is light yellow-green in appearance, spongy, and has strong adsorption and complex structure. The main components of silicon slag include silicate products such as silicic acid, water, orthosilicic acid, di-metasilicic acid, tri-orthosilicic acid, as well as sodium silicate, unreacted zircon sand, and zirconium oxychloride. The silicon content in silicon slag is usually between 30% and 70%, and contains other elements such as aluminum, sulfur, phosphorus, and carbon.
